Valentine Rodrigues

Valentine Rodrigues is the Founder and CEO at W&R Wedgewood and Lakestone Holdings, private investment firms which he founded in 2001 and 2018 respectively. Alongside his leadership team and venture partners Val founded a Special Purpose Joint Ventures (SPJV) that is developing medical biotechnology products in joint partnerships with key medical universities for production in diagnostics and treatment of patients suffering from diabetics and renal related diseases. As the Chief Executive officer of both firms, Val led acquisition and development technology ventures and real estate development projects. Current projects include apartment complexes, and master planned residential communities co-developed with local municipalities. Prior to W&R Wedgewood, Val was a Senior Management and Strategy Consultant at Cisco Systems for their Healthcare Advisory Group, leading consulting work on management strategy solutions to the largest Health Care Organizations. During this period Val oversaw construction and buildout of hospital facilities to support the client needs as well as integration of new operations from emergency rooms to diagnostic lab areas.

James Burkett serves as Sr. Partner, C.F.O and Board Member of Re/Max Gold Granite Bay, W&R Wedgewood, and Lakestone Holdings Inc. Re/Max stands as a leader worldwide in the real estate industry with over 100,000 employees globally. In his tenure at Re/Max, James has led sales and acquisitions of over $800 million in real estate projects. Alongside partners, James has co-founded and leads W&R Wedgewood and Lakestone Holdings, private equity firms specializing in technology and real estate development. Under his leadership and guidance they are positioned strongly in real estate technology and automotive industry. Jointly with the Chief Executive Officer, he is leading acquisition and development of approximately $122M in real estate projects. These projects range from mixed used multifamily apartments exceeding 300 units to new master planned community build outs for single family residences. Prior to his current role, James was President of First American Properties, Inc. First American served as a consulting and build out partner for inclusionary housing in conjunction with Sacramento and Placer County redevelopment agencies. He assisted in housing solutions to facilitate approval for their Atwood III project in Auburn, CA. James has previously also been an advisor to Wincrest Homes and Morrison Homes.
